Michelin encouraged a sense of community and comradeship establishing a sports and social club in Clermont. When incorporated in the UK it was natural that the company would repeat the success of the club and the Michelin Athletic Club has flourished ever since. For the majority of employees the 'MAC' is a natural part of life. The sports field shown here opposite the Stoke factory is now home to the UK head offices.
