Is it necessary to change the valve each time I change my tyre ? Back to "Advice from Bibendum"
The valve is a very important element, contributing to the airtightness of your tyres/wheel assembly.
Under centrifugal force, when your car is travelling at 60 mph, the force acting on the valve makes it equivalent to a mass of 1.7 kg - nearly 2 bags of sugar!

So during use, it deteriorates with age.
It is therefore essential to have the valves replaced every time the tyres are changed.

It could prove a false economy to compromise the life of your tyres, or even your personal safety, for the sake of the price of a new valve. Be sure to check carefully with your tyre dealer that they have replaced the valves when they change your tyres.
