The market’s best grip*

The factors that determine a motorcycle tyre’s sporty credentials include grip and manoeuvrability, as well as handling during changes of lean angle, under braking and when accelerating hard. MICHELIN came out on top in all of these areas in the Motorrad Test Centre test*.

* According to a series of tests carried out by Motorrad Test Centre in October 2016 at Boxberg and Neuhausen tracks (Germany) using a BMW S1000RR equipped with 120/70ZR17 and 190/55ZR17 tyres, comparing the new MICHELIN Power RS with the following competitor tyres: Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3, Dunlop Sportsmart 2, Continental Sportattack III, Bridgestone S21, Metzeler M7 RR.

MICHELIN Adaptive Casing Technology+

The use of a single ply means a less rigid crown, while the shoulders are stiffened by folding the ply over itself.

Outstanding tyre life

In an independent test, Dekra Test Centre found that a set of MICHELIN Power RS tyres last at least 33 percent longer than its main rivals*.

* According to the results of tests carried out by Dekra Test Centre between January 31 and February 22, 2017, based on a BMW K1300 R equipped comparing Metzeler M7RR, Pirelli Diablo Rosso III and Bridgestone S21 tyres with the MICHELIN Power RS (front: 120 70ZR17 / rear: 190 55 ZR17).

Enhanced wet weather grip

The MICHELIN Power RS delivers more grip on wet roads compared to its predecessor, the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3**.

** In an in-house test at Fontanges in December 2015 and July 2016 on a BMW S1000RR, the gap between the two types of tyre was three seconds per lap in cold weather and one second per lap at a temperature of 28°C.

Amazing tires for the spirited rider

DanTheMan - October 9, 2019

Best tires for the price range, as soon as they were installed they looked great got the bike out for a ride, the grip was noticeable during acceleration and braking right off the bat so i decided id break them in through some nice corners they definitely boost your confidence as i was hugging curves doing 95-105 as compared to my last set was only doing 80-88 around same curves. Would recommend to anyone wanting great traction for some spirited rides. Even in the rain they handle great i live in mobile and being one of the rainiest places in United states you get used to being caught in the rain or riding through it. I was skeptical a out the pattern and how it would handle on wet roads but to my surprise they handled flawlessly on my 01cbr929rr

Michelin definitely are not kidding abou ..."

s1rrkitt - January 16, 2018

Michelin definitely are not kidding about their tires on wet roads. Just went for a spirited ride around town after it rained with my friend who was completely mystified by how far I had my bike leaned over as if my tire was completely dry. I knew the roads were still wet, but I truly did not know my tires were actually treading standing water through the turns, and the tires did not ever clue me in! The PowerRS firmly tracked my lines as I intended, never slipping for even a millisecond. I have tried other tires with different manufacturers and have never felt so confident in wet roads than I have with MichelinÕs. Even in the cold, the PowerRS is a phenomenal tire to have on your bike. Normally, you would want to heat the tire up before heading out to ensure you have optimal grip, but the need to do so is minimal with these tires. Thanks to super soft compounds on the sides, you will still have the necessary grip you can count on. The lowest I personally have gotten my bike down to is 57¡. One day I will finally go to a track and the PowerRS will be the tires I take with me! I run with 120/70 up front and 200/55 on the rear.

No issue with my snakes 3, love them and would buy them again. Rode my bike from Ontario to the BMW Ralley in Utah Salt Lake City and had no issues.
