The market’s best grip*

The factors that determine a motorcycle tyre’s sporty credentials include grip and manoeuvrability, as well as handling during changes of lean angle, under braking and when accelerating hard. MICHELIN came out on top in all of these areas in the Motorrad Test Centre test*.

* According to a series of tests carried out by Motorrad Test Centre in October 2016 at Boxberg and Neuhausen tracks (Germany) using a BMW S1000RR equipped with 120/70ZR17 and 190/55ZR17 tyres, comparing the new MICHELIN Power RS with the following competitor tyres: Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3, Dunlop Sportsmart 2, Continental Sportattack III, Bridgestone S21, Metzeler M7 RR.

MICHELIN Adaptive Casing Technology+

The use of a single ply means a less rigid crown, while the shoulders are stiffened by folding the ply over itself.

Outstanding tyre life

In an independent test, Dekra Test Centre found that a set of MICHELIN Power RS tyres last at least 33 percent longer than its main rivals*.

* According to the results of tests carried out by Dekra Test Centre between January 31 and February 22, 2017, based on a BMW K1300 R equipped comparing Metzeler M7RR, Pirelli Diablo Rosso III and Bridgestone S21 tyres with the MICHELIN Power RS (front: 120 70ZR17 / rear: 190 55 ZR17).

Enhanced wet weather grip

The MICHELIN Power RS delivers more grip on wet roads compared to its predecessor, the MICHELIN Pilot Power 3**.

** In an in-house test at Fontanges in December 2015 and July 2016 on a BMW S1000RR, the gap between the two types of tyre was three seconds per lap in cold weather and one second per lap at a temperature of 28°C.

stick like glue

Kopperhed - January 15, 2020

great grip compared to Metz M3....... picking up the front wheel in 2nd gear when exiting a corner is more fun than having the tire break loose........ and very little warm up required at the strip, hooks and goes, no more spinning off the line.

Amazing grip AND they last.

Bormz - January 8, 2020

The sales rep described the dual compound as "grippy and grippier" ..So I tried them on my Supermoto expecting to wear them out quickly. Wow, the handling and grip are amazing, even when the road is'nt so great, (it walks through cracks and asphalt sealant like its not even there.) This tire made my bike so much more fun. I expected to wear them out much quicker but they're still on my bike and have outlasted my last tires by double.

Good street tire

C P - December 9, 2019

The Power Rs's have been a great street tire for me and others that I have recommend, the overall carcass of the tire is solid and the side grip is great for being the "standard" street tire.
