Find the right tyre by vehicle make
To find the right tyres, you’ll need your car’s make, range, model, engine type and the year it was manufactured. You’ll find this information in your vehicle instruction manual, which should be in your glove compartment.
You’ll also need to know your vehicle’s tyre size. Simply check the string of numbers and letters on the sidewall of your current tyres (an example is shown in the pucture above) – or find it in your vehicle manual.
If you're checking your tyre size on the sidewall of the tyre - please make sure that you're looking at the same type of tyre. For example: If you want to buy new cold weather tyres, make sure you check the tyre size of your current cold weather tyres. If you check your summer tyres, the letter in the end, called speed symbol, may differ. The legislation allows the speed symbol for cold weather tyres to be lower than for summer tyres. If you for example have size 205 / 55 R16 91V in summer, you may have 205 / 55 R16 91H in winter.
