WHERE AND HOW DO I READ MY TYRE DIMENSION?
You can find your dimension on your tyre’s sidewall. Roll over the yellow buttons to learn more about your tyre’s markings.
TYRE WIDTH
205: - Tyre width in millimetresWidth of the tyre measured in millimetres from sidewall to sidewall. This tyre is 205 millimetres wide.
ASPECT RATIO
60 - Tyre aspect ratio.
In this example, the sidewall height of the tyre is 60% of its width. The lower the ratio, the lower the sidewall height.
RIM SIZE
15 - Internal diameter in inches.This number (in inches) indicates that the tyre is designed to fit on a rim with a 15-inch diameter.
LOAD INDEX
The load index is a code showing the maximum load a tyre can carry. In this example a load index of 91, means that this tyre has a maximum load of 615 kg.
SPEED INDEX
The speed symbol indicates the maximum speed of use under service conditions specified by the tyre manufacturer. So in this example the tyre has the symbol H, which means a maximum speed of 130 mph.

Which tyres should you choose? With the Michelin tyre selector, it’s easy! Simply enter your specifications to see the fitments Michelin offer.
The tyre selector allows you to filter the tyres by car model or by wheel size.
- Search by car model: by default the tyre selector displays the car model tab. Each column contains a list of filter items. Choose the car brand, then select the correct range, model, engine and year. The selection process goes from left to right.
- Search by tyre dimension: start by choosing wheel size tab. Select each column from left to right. These will include items like width, height, diameter, load- and speedindex. The last two are important as we cannot give you a full recommendation without them.
When the selection is complete, a table with the related fitments is activated. Click on ‘Show car fitments and pressures’ to see all fitment information. Click on ‘See product details’ to go to the product detail page for more tyre information.
