Have used X Climate for many years. This MK3 sport version has a proper kerb protector that's more substantial than previous MK2. There's less tread depth than the non sport. 6.5 mm if I remember correctly. It's buffed off before sending out. That's probably to stop heat mushrooming the blocks and loosing water dispersal. That said steering is crisp. Noise no worse than previous X Climate tyres. I bought these loose then got wheels painted so saved a fitting fee. Overall I like to have decent tyres. You may need them to save your bacon.

My car now holds the road in a way I didn’t know it could and feels much safer to drive in wet conditions which is important in a rear wheel drive
