These Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres are absolutely fantastic on my BMW E89 Z4 3.0 (manual). They make so much of an improvement over the standard BMW-supplied Bridgestone Potenza tyres (especially on 19” BMW lightweight alloy wheels) that the difference in feel, grip, handling, ride comfort and even road noise is huge - instantly noticeable and highly recommended. Yes they’re considerably more expensive than the Bridgestone and other non-runflats but with tyres, you get the performance that you pay for, at least with Michelin. Trust me, you will be very happy with the immense improvement and not regret purchasing them at all, I can assure you.

Tried and tested, I don't believe there's a better road legal Summer tyre (apart from Semi Slicks) that performs as well in the dry weather! I haven't had a chance to push these tyres to the limit yet but I plan to use them on track days where I expect them to perform incredibly well. I've not tested these tyres on my M5 in the wet yet as it's my first BMW and I haven't owned a RWD on over a decade. I get minimal wheel spin in the wet, even with the accelerator peddle flat to the floor & the 7 speed DCT's rapid gear changes & 565bhp 700Nm torque!
