1973 : Jack Findlay wins the Senior TT and gives Michelin its first 500cm3 victory, the Premier class.

1974

1974: The first appearance of slick tyres in a motorbike championship.

1984

1984: Radial technology comes to the fore in topflight motorbike racing.

1992

1992: The first GP500 tyre to feature a silica-reinforced compound.

1994

1994: Introduction of asymmetrical tyres in GP500.

2003

2003: 300th victory in the Premier class, at the Assen Grand Prix. 

2019

2019: Michelin is involved in the first all-electric motorbike racing championship as official supplier to MotoE™.

2023: Reduction of the MotoGP™ tyre allocation. Michelin now offers only two types of rear tyre per race, compared with three previously. Michelin has developed a new front and a new rear tyre MotoE™ tyre that now incorporate 34 and 52 percent sustainable raw materials respectively.
