As pioneers in low-pressure agricultural tyres (VF), we celebrate two decades of innovation in soil preservation and improved productivity. MICHELIN Ultraflex technology allows our tyres to operate at lower air pressures, carry heavier loads, and better preserve soils.
Beyond the tyres, Michelin provides additional solutions to manage pressure throughout the day. By using the Central Tyre Inflation System (CTIS), farmers can control tyre pressure from their seat, reducing soil compaction. By minimising disturbance to the soil, Michelin helps farmers maintain productive, healthy crops, ensuring the land retains its natural structure and fertility.
Tested and Proven Technologies
A comprehensive study conducted by Harper Adams University in the UK in 2012 highlights Michelin’s commitment to research and innovation aimed at reducing soil compaction. The study shows that MICHELIN ULTRAFLEX technology can improve agronomic yields by an average of 4% (1)(2).
These results have been confirmed by similar studies conducted in the United States (Illinois) and Brazil (Mato Grosso). Michelin is committed to improving agricultural productivity and promoting sustainable farming practices by developing solutions that protect soils.
