Very disappointed

Crn1 - March 17, 2021

I fitted some Michelin cross climate Michelin tyres all round on my Mondeo in October 2020, March 2021 these have lasted 10k miles. They have poor wet grip which surprised me, so back to pilot sport 4. From a personal point of view I DON’T recommend these tyres at all and for the price I think they are the worst value on the market

Superb grip and handling, good longevity when the go the distance. Poor shoulders not strong enough

markthechauffeur - February 12, 2021

I run a rural private hire vehicle comp[any and the cars that these were fitted to will do about 55000 miles per year. The tyres are excellent in terms of poor weather grip and handling. The longevity, when they last, are best in class and we have had a set go 33,000 miles which is about 6000 miles more than we would get out of the competition. However the shoulders are to soft and would split if you hit a pothole which is a problem as a rural company. this is the only issue we found and with the number of replacements we had to do one winter we had to swap to a competitor purely for tyre strength as with a tyre splitting less than half life they became to expensive and hence the rating in this review.

Best tires all season I've ever tried that got me to the tip of a 2400m mountain

Andy - January 12, 2021

To start the review I will say that the car that I have them on is a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLE 350 4Matic Premium pack. Temperature was between 0.5 and 2 °C and tires have done around 5k miles before the challenge. We came to a mountain resort in Romania to find snow and we did find some, we decided to go above and beyond with testing the car and see what the car and tires are all about. We started going up the hill and just by following the mountain road we've hit snow...ice and anything you can think about. We went to the maximum and reached the top of the mountain with all the challenges on the road. It performed better than expected and didn't fall back on anything. I'm will recommend them to anyone who has doughs on buying them or not. I bet the cross climate are better but couldn't get them for 20" rims...so had to go for the cross climate only but honestly... couldn't wish for more out of them . Brilliant grip, handle, noise on the dry or wet road very silent. Absolutely brilliant from all points of views. Can't say anything about consumption as having a 3l engine..I don't really expect a miracle MPG return. Buy it...they are worth it.
