I am staying with the Pilot Road 4 GT's

Rtcker - November 29, 2021

I have been using the 4 GT's since they came out. I tried Bridgestones, Pirellis, Dunlaps Metzlers, and even the 5GT's. I have returned to 4 GT's each time and am so satisfied with them i won't try anything again. I am on my third BMW RT and love the 4 GT's I can get twice the mileage from a set, and the dual compound is perfect for my 50/50 riding, aggressive in the twisties in East TN and Western NC, and touring gentle sweepers elsewhere. Excellent grip in all conditions. Cold weather and summer heat. Rain and slushy snow. They have NEVER gotten me into trouble. I have even plugged a rear tire in Yellowstone and rode home 1,800 miles!. One a price per mile basis the cheapest tire i can buy, never mind it's the best. On long trips I can get about 8,000 miles out of a set. Local mixed riding is about 4,500. Still about double that of other brands in similar conditions. (I ride about 20,000 miles a year).

PR4 GT

Steve - July 18, 2021

On the ZZR1400, Michelin doesn't recommend the GT version, but I had several non GT versions which punctured badly. One actually split on the sidewall down to the rim. After that, I changed to the GT. The bike's handling is more positive and it's just coming up to it's wear limit. I have found the GT a much better tyre. Even allowing more lean angle due to the stiffer sidewall. I always found it odd that Michelin doesn't recommend this tyre for the ZZR1400, but recommends it for other bikes of very similar weight. I have thought that Michelin have possibly misread the curb weight of the Kawasaki and taken the dry weight into consideration by mistake

An Outstanding, confidence building tire

Mitchum - June 3, 2021

I have used these tires on a BMWK1600GT for touring and on track days (Yes). They provide a positive feedback, high stability and grip level in both dry and wet conditions that I simply do not find with other makes. I just wish I could get more than 2,500miles out of the rear.
